It Started With Frustration
Like most MMA fans, I started betting with gut feelings and "expert" picks from YouTube. The results were predictably terrible - down $3,000 in six months despite being right about fights more often than not.
The problem wasn't knowledge. I could predict Oliveira's submission setup or see Volkanovski's pressure patterns. But the betting markets? They seemed designed to punish anyone without inside information.
💡 The Realization
If Wall Street quants could beat stock markets with algorithms, why couldn't the same approach work for MMA? The data was there - fight stats, fighter trajectories, betting line movements. Someone just needed to connect the dots systematically.
